How To Dress Well: The 15 Rules All Men Should Learn

There are enough rules in life as it is. Some, however, are there to help. Like the rules that govern how to dress well. Of course, every man or woman that has an opinion on such things speaks from personal experience – and no doubt what works for one doesn’t always work for another; or what works for one is considered too pedestrian or too avant-garde by another. So, when it comes to dressing, they always have to be taken at face value. They’re solid suggestions rather than the last word on style.

But good fashion tips for men are never to be sniffed at, and, as menswear becomes ever more rich and varied, ever more experimental and abundant, ever more trend-aware, in moments of confusion and self-doubt, it can help to have a valuable fall-back position that cuts through the clutter.

These dressing tips for men tend to be founded in history – they’ve worked for generations, so might well be assumed to work well today too. And they tend to be founded in the obvious, so obvious they’re often overlooked: a preference for good fit, high quality, versatility, good value, lack of extremes and keeping it sober. Moreover, understanding and developing a good dressing sense for men is not just about following these time-tested rules, but also about adapting them to one’s personal style and comfort.

There are certainly many other rules out there than are presented here. Some of these you may have already discovered for yourself. That, after all, is part of the pleasure of clothing, which no rule should hamper: trying new kit out, seeing if it suits you, seeing how it makes you feel. But, these rules have stood the test of time and, when used in conjunction, act as a failsafe guide on how to dress as a man today.

    1. Wear A Suit Well

The key to a suit looking good is fit. If you’re buying off-the-peg, focus on the fit across the shoulders because getting the chest and waist altered is a relatively easy job according to Davide Taub, head of bespoke suits at Savile Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes. “Be cautious about wearing a period suit unless you’re pursuing a total period look because in isolation the suit starts to look like a novelty,” he adds.

Classic is best and most useful – dark, two-button, single-breasted, moderate in details. “It’s not boring. A suit is a uniform. The idea is to think of this suit as a canvas to build different ideas of individuality around. It’s the way you wear it, not the label inside, that impresses.”

    2. Invest Wisely In A Watch

“A watch is like a piece of art,” argues Don Cochrane, managing director of British watch brand Vertex. “Choose it because you love it, not because you think it might make money. Watches are personal, it marks your passage through time. But you also have to be practical.” Aesthetic, functional, rugged sports models go with anything and can take the hard knocks of everyday wear. Yet, a watch still has to fit you. It should feel comfortable and be right in terms of size and depth relative to your wrist as well – 40mm is considered the ‘Goldilocks’ size.

    3. Don’t Shy Away From Colour

Whether it’s on casualwear or formalwear, indulge in a bit of colour. “Most men are unjustly scared of it – they’re intimidated by anything that isn’t navy or grey,” says menswear designer Oliver Spencer. “But colour can be timeless too.” A green suit, for example, can look particularly rakish, while Spencer also recommends pinks, greens, mustard and brighter shades of blue as especially versatile year-round shades that will lift your entire outfit. But he adds that, when it comes to colour, less is still more: “You just need a bit of it, in one garment.”

    4. Wear In Your Jeans Until They Are Yours

The all-time most useful cut of the world’s most popular garment, according to Alex Mir, co-owner of Sheffield-based label Forge Denim, is ‘slim-tapered’. “It’s wider in the thigh, so it’s comfortable, but narrows, so it works with either smart shoes or sneakers,” he advises. “It’s the best year-round, wear-with-anything, dress up or down style.”

The wise will wear dark, raw denim too and give the pre-distressed a wide berth. “The whole pleasure of denim is that it ages with the way you wear it. Why miss out on that?”

    5. Look After Your Appearance

It’s the kind of advice your mother might offer, but if you’ve invested money and thought in your clothing, look after it. Use wooden hangers for shirts and shoe trees for your best shoes; have your suit dry-cleaned and pressed; wash your clothes regularly and, ideally, don’t tumble dry them (it can degrade the fabric); and polish your shoes.

Equally, it’s not just the skin of your leather jacket that you need to care for, the same goes for the one you wear every day. Establish a simple, but no less solid, grooming regime, brush your hair and cut your nails. After all, the devil resides in the details.

    6. Keep Your Underwear Simple

Style isn’t only what everyone else can see. When it comes to men’s underwear, there are two rules to follow. One, novelty prints are not for grown men – “your underwear is not the place to express your ‘personality’,” as shirt and underwear-maker Emma Willis notes.

And, two, heavily-branded underwear lacks sophistication. “Of all places where you might have the confidence not to have branding, your underwear should be it,” adds Willis.

The style that has best stood the test of time, of course, is the cotton boxer short or boxer brief, likely because (as is the case with linen) they take repeated washing, breathe well and are comfortable against your skin.

    7. Spend Money On Shoes

“Timelessness is about simple design and all the more so with shoes,” argues Tim Little, owner of heritage shoe brand Grenson. “The color, the pattern, the sole – you don’t want it fussy. Anything fussy may look good now but will look strange very quickly.” Quality shoes — the gold standard being re-soleable Goodyear welted examples — are the kind of investment that should last 15 years or more.

Opt for classic styles such as the Jumper boot from Myrqvist or classic brogues, loafers, or a plain, dark, five-eyelet Derby on a round-toe last, but don’t forget about finding quality dress socks as well. “It’s the shape of the toe that really counts – and round never goes out of fashion,” says Little. “It’s pointy toes or square toes that look obviously impractical. Nobody has feet shaped like that.”

    8. Keep Accessorising To A Minimum

Accessories like ties and pocket squares bring individuality to classic clothing, but be careful how you use them.

“It’s best to harmonise them with what you’re wearing by picking out a colour or two. Or even to juxtapose them entirely,” says Michael Hill, creative director of men’s accessories brand Drake’s. “What you don’t want is to match them up.”

When it comes to curating shirt and tie combinations, wear your tie or pocket square in a darker shade than your jacket. And don’t overdo the accessories either – if in doubt, think less is more and take one element away. “You’re aiming for an air of nonchalance,” adds Hill. “You just need one point of interest.”

    9. Know Thyself

There’s are few things less stylish than a man dressed as he thinks he should dress rather than in what he genuinely feels suits who he is. There are caveats to that, of course: there are no prizes for dressing like a rodeo clown unless indeed you are one. But whatever you’re wearing, you have to own it.

Genuine style icons are those who go their own way with a self-confidence that comes from their clothes being a second skin, not a costume.

    10. Dress For The Setting

Style is not merely about self-expression; it’s also about being dressed appropriately for your environment. Think of clothes as being codes: you need the right combination to work with the setting you’re in – and that’s whether it’s a formal dinner or a lazy Sunday in the pub.

The worst style is one which is out of place. Is this a kind of conformity? No, as one of Tom Ford’s oft trotted out fashion quotes explains, it’s a mark of respect for others. And about feeling comfortable in yourself. When in doubt, overdress.

how to dress well for different settings with men and women at a disco party

    11. Don’t Skimp On Glasses

Invest time into finding the right spectacles for you. “People spend an average of seven minutes picking a pair that will define them for the next three or more years,” notes eyewear designer Tom Davies. “Poor choice and poor fit are why so many people learn to hate their glasses.”

Buy what you feel good in, taking into account your face shape but considering the top line of the frames’ relation to your eyebrow shape – team straight with straight, curved with curved – and your hairstyle.

Buy wisely too, says Davies: there’s no point buying cheap frames and being up-sold on expensive lenses because the frames will look tatty soon enough anyway.

    man wearing warby parker glasses

    12. Choose Versatile Outerwear

The temptation may be to wear a classic style, but modern technical fabrics in darker shades and easy cuts are making coats what they should be – lightweight and breathable but also properly protective. “Changes in seasonality, the climate and buying habits are making heavy wool coats seem out of keeping now,” suggests Adam Cameron, owner of outerwear specialist The Workers’ Club. “Think of a coat instead as being your final layer – one you can wear as much or as little under as required.” A field or bomber jacket jacket is a good all-rounder but if you need to dress up, go for a short mac.

    13. Buy A Dinner Suit, Never Hire

Occasions for the height of formal dressing may be rare, but they’re all the more exacting for that. So, while it feels like an extravagance, owning a dinner suit that fits you rather than hiring one makes more sense after years of use. “With hiring, there’s always the risk of the wearer looking almost childlike while dressed in some oversized, boxy ensemble,” warns Toby Lamb, design director of contemporary tailoring label Richard James. Own as classic a dinner suit as possible: in midnight blue, single-breasted, with satin lapels and trousers seams. And it goes without saying you should learn how to tie a bow-tie yourself.

    man wearing a tuxedo

    14. With Shirts, Stick To The Classics

“It sounds silly,” says James Cook, head of bespoke shirtmaking for Turnbull & Asser, “but any men’s shirt can be made to look expensive if it’s well-pressed.” All the same, Cook is particular about the details. Strike a middle line, he recommends: avoid bold styles unless you think you can carry it off, and, for a collar that works with or without a tie, and that always sits properly under a jacket, opt for a semi-cutaway.

    L’Estrange London

    15. Know When To Break The Rules

Know when to adhere to dress codes such as black tie and know when to break them. Some are there for a good reason, typically because the occasion demands it or some higher authority – your boss, perhaps – expects it. But, likewise, as Drakes’ Hill notes, “we can get too hung up about rules as well, and there’s always a case for ripping them up”. That, after all, is how style advances, little by little. “Enjoy the freedom there is now to make mistakes.”

What to Consider When Buying Men’s Grooming Gifts

    Individual Preferences

First and foremost, understanding the recipient’s grooming preferences is key. Is he a bearded gentleman, or does he prefer the clean-shaven look? Does he have a penchant for skincare? Tailoring your gift to his grooming style will hit the right note. Because, after all, there’s no use gifting a hairbrush to a bald guy.

    Quality and Effectiveness

No one wants a gift that falls flat in performance. Opt for grooming gifts that boast high-quality ingredients and effectiveness. Whether it’s a nourishing beard oil or a robust hair pomade, ensure your chosen gift is up to snuff in delivering its promise. I personally lean towards luxurious bathroom essentials, so this guide is packed full of high end picks that will last for years to come.

    Occasion

Finally, the occasion can guide your grooming gift choice. A set of rejuvenating face masks could be a hit for a birthday, offering a touch of pampering, while a travel grooming kit might be just the ticket for someone who’s leaving for a big trip. Let the occasion lead the way to a thoughtful and fitting grooming gift.

How it Smells: With punchy lemon, herby rosemary, and deep amber wood, this cologne is perfect for daily wear and will carry you through all seasons. Alluring, sophisticated, yet not overpowering, this masculine cologne will set you apart from the pack.

Flaws But Not Dealbreakers: The smallest bottle of Only the Brave is 50 milliliters, which is quite a lot of product if you aren’t positive you like the scent.

Top Notes: Lemon, mandarin, coriander leaves | Middle Notes: Labdanum, violet leaves, rosemary | Base Notes: Amber, leather accord, cedarwood | Size: 4.2 oz | Type: Eau de Toilette | Season: Year Round

    Hugo Boss The Scent

Why It’s Great: Despite being around for a hundred years, Hugo Boss is the epitome of the modern man. The brand stays up to date with contemporary needs, pumping out manly colognes just as dependable as the brand’s staple clothing line. Their signature fragrance, The Scent, is as timeless as it comes. Plenty seductive, it’s one of the best manly scents if you’re hunting for a deep, mysterious fragrance.

How it Smells: The Scent is packed with spice, with notes of ginger and leather, and finished with an African Maninka heart for a touch of sweetness. It’s aromatic without being overwhelming, offering a distinctive manly cologne for any guy seeking an exciting signature scent.

Flaws But Not Dealbreakers: This is definitely a deeper scent that’s best reserved for cold weather wear. You may not get as much use out of it during summer.

Top Notes: Ginger | Middle Notes: African Maninka fruit | Base Notes: Smoky leather | Size: 3.4 oz | Type: Eau de Toilette | Season: Autumn, Winter

    Creed Viking

Why It’s Great: Aptly referred to as a “more sophisticated Old Spice” by one reviewer, Creed Viking is the best manly cologne on the luxury end of the spectrum. The scent doesn’t come cheap, but boy, is it worth every spritz. And since Old Spice is the epitome of masculine odor, this cologne is pretty much as manly as it gets, though it’s definitely more briefcase than gym bag.

How it Smells: Most famous for the fan favorite Aventus, Creed Viking offers another perspective. The brand describes it as “where the skies meet the seas,” combining distinctly fresh notes with light spice and musk. It’s energizing without doing too much, with masculine scents like vetiver and cedarwood for a strong, gentleman-focused fragrance.

Flaws But Not Dealbreakers: Nearly $500 for a bottle of cologne hurts a bit, but is well worth the investment if you’re looking for a new signature scent.

Top Notes: Citrus, peppermint, pink peppercorn, absinthe | Middle Notes: Allspice, clove, jasmine, rose | Base Notes: Cedarwood, tonka bean, vetiver, white musk | Size: 3.3 oz | Type: Eau de Parfum | Season: Spring, Summer, Autumn

    Ralph Lauren Polo Black

Why It’s Great: While Polo Red and Blue are frequent chart toppers, Ralph Lauren Polo Black is arguably the most manly of the entire fragrance line. This cologne is undeniably masculine with a one of a kind scent profile. It’s stellar for daily wear and is a true head turner, considering it’s a less popular but equally exciting fragrance. If you’re seeking a versatile, unique scent, this is the one for you.

How it Smells: Compared to the fresher scents in the collection, Polo Black offers a deeper variant with special notes of juicy iced mango, masculine silver armoise, sensual patchouli noir, and creamy tonka bean.

Flaws But Not Dealbreakers: Since this cologne is less well known than Polo Red and Blue, it’s often overlooked. But that doesn’t make it any less worthy of the bold man who wears it.

Top Notes: Iced mango | Middle Notes: Silver armoise | Base Notes: Patchouli noir | Size: 4.2 oz | Type: Eau de Toilette | Season: Year Round

    Christian Dior Sauvage

Why It’s Great: Christian Dior is no stranger to masculine scents. Sauvage is the ideal choice for the modern don, a scent women love and an industry leading masculine cologne. When asking my female friends their preference for a guy’s cologne, Sauvage cropped up several times as a top choice.

How it Smells: It embodies attractive masculinity inspired by wide open spaces dripping in citrus, amber, and wood notes. Available in various intensities, the Eau de Toilette is best for daily wear, but if you prefer a long lasting cologne, opt for the Sauvage Elixir, which leans into a more spiced side of the fragrance with nutmeg, cardamom, and lavender.

Flaws But Not Dealbreakers: Some may argue that Dior’s Fahrenheit is the most manly cologne in the collection. Though compared to Sauvage, I find it a bit dated (albeit plenty macho).

Top Notes: Bergamot | Middle Notes: Pepper | Base Notes: Vanilla, amber | Size: 2 oz | Type: Eau de Toilette | Season: Year Round

    Yves Saint Laurent Kouros

Why It’s Great: The best way I’ve heard this fragrance described is from a reviewer who said that “the bottle practically has a hairy chest.” While fougere fragrances (noted for their distinctive spicy grass scent) are suitable for daily wear, this also makes for the best manly smelling cologne for cold weather or evenings. The herbal heart combined with the masculine base invites whoever you’re with to draw closer and experience every nuance of this macho scent.

How it Smells: YSL Kouros is a proper fougere cologne with bright citrus top notes and an irresistible lavender heart grounded with masculine patchouli and leather.

Flaws But Not Dealbreakers: Some may find this cologne a bit dated – it has been on the scene since 2000. That said, some scents are simply timeless, including Kouros.

Top Notes: Coriander accord, bergamot, mugwort | Middle Notes: Clove, jasmine | Base Notes: Ambergris, oakmoss | Size: 3.3 oz | Type: Eau de Toilette | Season: Year Round

    Gucci Guilty

Why It’s Great: If designer is a top priority, the best manly smelling cologne is Gucci Guilty. This crowd pleasing scent is a winner if you’re looking for a timeless fragrance, as this pick leans into the best of the 1970s olfactory world. As an Eau de Parfum, this is a long lasting cologne with a true retro flair.

How it Smells: Employing uncommon ingredients like chili pepper and salt, it has a surprising scent rounded out with more frequently used notes of orange blossom, french lavender, neroli, and rose.

The masculinity shines through in rich cedarwood, which anchors the fragrance and makes it a wonderful choice for evenings and cold weather. However, if you’re looking to make a splash with your cologne choice, wear this year round to stand out from other men in your midst.

Flaws But Not Dealbreakers: If retro cologne isn’t your style, you may want to steer clear of Gucci Guilty and opt for a scent that’s more modern.

Top Notes: Fresh rose accord, hot chili pepper | Middle Notes: Orange blossom, neroli, French lavender | Base Notes: Patchouli, cedarwood | Size: 3 oz | Type: Eau de Parfum | Season: Autumn, Winter

Buying Considerations for the Best Manly Colognes

    Scent Profile

The main consideration when choosing the best manly smelling cologne is the scent profile, as this impacts what the fragrance actually smells like, as well as where and when to use it. Most masculine scents are either super fresh colognes (think Old Spice or Axe type scents) or deep and dark (your muskier, classic masculine fragrances).

The benefit of choosing fresh manly cologne scents is they tend to be easier to wear. Citrus colognes and herb-heavy fragrances balanced out by deeper notes of cedarwood or amber are prime for daily use. You’ll see this type of profile in colognes like Diesel Only The Brave and Creed Viking.

On the other hand, if you prefer a richer masculine cologne, opt for a scent that’s heavy on the spice, musk, and wood, like The Scent by Hugo Boss or Sauvage Elixir (as opposed to the lighter Sauvage Eau de Toilette). These are great as evening, autumn, and winter colognes, though you can certainly get away with using them as an everyday signature scent.

    Intensity

Intensity factors into how long lasting a cologne is, so it’s important to consider it when choosing manly cologne scents. Eau de Toilettes are the least intense, progressing to Eau de Parfums and Parfums, which have the highest concentration of fragrance oils. If you want a cologne that will last all day, opt for an Eau de Parfum or a Parfum, which will stay strong for several hours. However, if you prefer a subtle fragrance that you can reapply throughout the day, stick with a classic Eau de Toilette.

    Price

Manly cologne scents come in a huge array of price points, with the most common cost hovering between $60 and $80 for 100 milliliters of fragrance. That said, masculine cologne can be quite pricey, with Creed Viking at almost $500 a bottle. If you’re looking to invest in a signature scent, you may feel that the higher price tag is justified. However, it’s probably not worth the splurge if you’re only going to wear it on occasion or aren’t positive about the scent.

    Why You Should Trust Us

Over the past five years, I have spent thousands of hours in department and fragrance stores sniffing and rating the best colognes for men. I’ve also interviewed hundreds of men and women of all ages to determine the most popular and timeless men’s fragrances on the market. Personal preferences aside, I strive to provide a well rounded view of guys’ colognes, especially if you’re after a distinctly masculine scent to showcase your macho side.

    Final Verdict

While there are plenty of options, the best manly cologne is Diesel Only The Brave, which is fresh, masculine, and an apt choice for daily wear. It also offers unbeatable value in terms of price and quality, making it a great choice as a signature fragrance to sport throughout the year.

    FAQ

      • Manly colognes come in all different profiles, but distinctly masculine notes include rich scents like tobacco colognes, vetiver, musk, patchouli, cedarwood, and neroli. These are often balanced out with bright citrus and soft herbs for a well rounded manly fragrance.

        • Some manly scents are deep notes like musk, patchouli, vetiver, tobacco, leather, and woods like cedar, amber, and sandal. Manly scents can also be distinctly spicy, with notes of peppercorn, chilis, and ginger. If you want a masculine cologne, consider fragrances like Diesel Only The Brave, The Scent by Hugo Boss, and Creed Viking.

10 Sexiest Men’s Colognes – Attractive Smelling Picks for 2024

Scent is a powerful tool for influencing emotions and triggering carnal impulses. The cologne you wear plays a leading role in the laws of attraction. Trust me when I say the best sexy colognes for men have real pulling power. And let’s admit it; this is the ultimate goal for anyone delving into the world of sexy colognes for men.

The first step in your quest to find the sexiest cologne for men is understanding top, heart, and base notes. These affect the way a fragrance unfolds and, when combined, create a captivating cologne.

Top notes are what you sniff first after spritzing your scent. Once these begin to fade, the heart or middle notes kick in. These last around 2-3 hours until the base notes take over. These are the soul of the cologne and often what determines its longevity and memorability.

For me, the sexiest-smelling men’s colognes are warm and inviting, so I often opt for vanilla and musk scents. Fragrances are subjective, though, and we aren’t all singing from the same song sheet. There is no set recipe for how sexy smells, but there are certain accords, or blends of notes, that draw us in.

No one explains this better than Mandy Aftel of Aftelier Perfumes, “I don’t think sexy smells like one thing, but rather a combination of things that are kind of sweet but also dirty, they have a yin and yang and have an inherent kind of complicatedness that makes you come right into the moment.”

From fresh finds to timeless classics for all budgets and occasions, scroll on to discover your guide to the 9 sexiest men’s colognes.

    Montblanc Legend Sexiest Men's Cologne

Grabbing the top spot on our list of sexiest men’s colognes is Montblanc Legend Eau de Toilette. This cologne is a fusion of audacious freshness and mysterious depth, making it an irresistible choice for the modern man.

Its combination of crisp, fruity top notes and a warm, seductive base creates a captivating scent profile that’s both alluring and sophisticated. Montblanc Legend is not just a fragrance; it’s an embodiment of charisma and allure, perfect for a man who wants to leave a memorable and attractive impression

Top Notes: Bergamot, violet leaf | Middle Notes: Jasmine, magnolia, woods | Base notes: Leather, oakmoss | Size:  1.7oz | Type: Eau de Parfum | Season: Spring, summer

    Coach for Men

The top sexiest men’s cologne for the office is one that makes you feel confident and put-together without irritating your desk buddy. Coach for Men is a 24/7 go-anywhere EDT that won’t overpower, making it the best workplace choice.

The pear, grapefruit, and kumquat top notes come together to create a general aroma of bright fruit rather than any one note dominating. This is what keeps Coach for Men classy and office appropriate. All you need are 2-3 spritzes before you step out the door, and you’re good to go without re-applying for 3-4 hours.

Modern, beginner-friendly, and affordable, some reviewers say it’s a big hit with younger women. Coach for Men will get you noticed at work for all the right reasons.

Top Notes: Pear, kumquat, bergamot, lavender, grapefruit | Middle Notes: Cardamom, geranium, coriander| Base notes: Ambergris, suede, amber wood, Haitian vetiver | Size:  3.3oz | Type: Eau de Toilette | Season: Spring, summer

    Guerlain L’Homme Ideal

Guerlain has a reputation for creating sophisticated yet sexy colognes for men, and L’Homme Ideal’s DNA doesn’t disappoint.

L’Homme Ideal is sweet and sultry. The opening is a powdery and aromatic blend of botanicals. But if you thought this is where the fun stops, think again. After sitting on the skin for a while, L’Homme Ideal settles into its cherry, almond, and vanilla heart. It’s gourmand but in a subtle and expensive way, thanks to the leathery tonka base.

This signature scent contender works well for romantic liaisons and special date nights. Is it rough sex in a bottle? No, but it is capable of turning up the heat. And for me, it’s okay for seduction to be savored. Think more slow and steady than instant gratification.

Top Notes: Almond, spices, lavender, bergamot, rosemary, thyme | Middle Notes: Cherry, vanilla, incense, Bulgarian rose | Base notes: Leather, tonka bean, sandalwood | Size:  1.7oz | Type: Eau de Parfum | Season: Spring, fall

    Jean Paul Gautier Ultra Male

Jean Paul Gautier fragrances are known for their standout bottles shaped like a ripped male torso. So, this sexy cologne for men will undoubtedly send the right message on a shelf or dresser.

A warm and spicy heart follows top notes of juicy pear, powdery lavender, fresh mint, sweet bergamot, and tart lemon. The finale of woody base notes creates a virile scent that’s rich and addicting. I believe the blend is so successful because it was created by fragrance master Francis Kurkdjian. Recognize the name? He’s also the creator and man behind cult sensation Baccharat Rouge 540.

I can’t vouch for Amazon reviewer Polriz, who claims he was a virgin before buying Ultra Male, but I can say it is one of the best on the market. Its 8–10-hour longevity is perfect for kings of the club who party from dusk til dawn.

Top Notes: Pear, lavender, mint, bergamot, lemon | Middle Notes: cinnamon, clary sage, caraway| Base notes: Black vanilla husk, amber, patchouli, cedar| Size:  4.2oz | Type: Eau de Toilette | Season: Winter

    Roja Dove Elysium Pour Homme

In the world of sexy cologne for men, Roja Dove Elysium takes the podium when it comes to an alluring date night scent.

Elysium is a blue scent, the same category of colognes that YSL Y and Dior Sauvage belong to. Here, sparkling citrus mingles with subtly spiced aromatics and an ambery vanilla base. The result is a delicious skin scent that will draw your date in closer.

If you do decide to do your own research on this cologne, ignore the reviewers who claim Elysium is a dupe for Creed Aventus. Take it from someone who owns both; they’re more like distant second cousins than twins.

Top Notes: Grapefruit, lemon, bergamot, lime, thyme, artemisia, galbanum | Middle Notes: Vetiver, juniper berries, blackcurrant, apple, pink pepper, cedar, Cypriol oil or nagarmotha, lily-of-the-valley, rose, jasmine | Base notes: Ambergris, leather, vanilla, benzoin, labdanum | Size: 3.4oz | Type: Parfum cologne | Season: Spring, summer

    Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct

Abercrombie & Fitch knows how to do sexy colognes for men. I’m pretty sure most 90s-born guys bathed in Fierce at least one point in their late teens.

Abercrombie is still creating budget-friendly scents for young guys but with a modern take on the idea of what it means to create an alluring fragrance. First Instinct smells like a freshly poured G&T with a slice of melon. It’s an attractive and refreshing scent which works well for summer.

The cologne offers a crisp, aquatic opening before unleashing its sexy musk and suede dry down. For a non-designer scent, First Instinct has an impressively luxe feel. It’s light and effervescent, like the tipple it’s inspired by. The downside to this lightness is that you’re looking at around 4 hours of wear rather than a full day. But at less than 50 bucks, you can afford to reapply.

Top Notes: Melon, tonic water, gin | Middle Notes: Violet leaf, Sichuan pepper, citruses | Base notes: Musk, suede, amber | Size: 3.4oz | Type: Eau de Toilette | Season: Summer

    Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur

It’s a fact; studies show that vanilla is a universally appealing scent. At the same time, cinnamon is widely reported to be an arousing stimulant that can boost blood flow to your manhood. So, it makes total sense to combine these must-have notes to create the sexiest perfume for men.

Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur is a luxurious yet niche fragrance that does just that. This sensual concoction blends a citrus and lavender opening with a musk-heavy, amber Oriental base that’s sex in a bottle.

Innocent and soft yet rough and dirty around the edges. It’s a love-it-or-loathe-it uncompromising frag, and I sit proudly in the obsessed camp. Beware, a little of this sexy men’s cologne goes a long way, often staying on my skin for 24 hours. If you’re not ready for that level of commitment, you may want to swipe left.

Top Notes: Tangerine, bergamot, lavender | Middle Notes: Cloves, cinnamon | Base notes: Vanilla, musk, amber, tonka bean, guaiac wood, sandalwood, cedar | Size:  3.4oz | Type: Eau de Parfum | Season: Fall, winter

    Versace Eros Flame

Versace Eros Flame is a 2018 flanker of the uber-popular Eros, released in 2012. Typically, I’d say you can’t beat an OG, but for me, Flame comes out on top.

Eros Flame shines bright with citrus and floral top notes before building to a smooth, spicy scent. Eros Flame is a real babe magnet, making it one of Amazon’s best-selling, sexiest smelling men’s colognes. You’ll get around 8-10 hours of longevity and bold projection, so expect the compliments to keep coming.

If you love Dolce & Gabbana The One, then Eros Flame is going to be a relatively safe blind buy for you. The Eros range often faces criticism for being immature. But I always say horses for courses. If you’re after a fun and flirty fragrance to boost your pulling potential on nights out, you’ve found your wingman.

Top Notes: Mandarin orange, black pepper, lemon chinotto, rosemary | Middle Notes: Pepper, geranium, rose| Base notes: Vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood, Texas cedar, patchouli, oakmoss | Size: 3.4oz | Type: Eau de Parfum | Season: Spring, fall, winter

    Hermes H24

There’s more than one way to be sexy. For some, it’s about flashing the charm and splashing on a showy, confidence-boosting scent. While for others, embracing something more understated and sophisticated does the job.

If you’re the latter type of guy, Hermes H24 could be your cup of tea – literally. With earthy wood notes and fresh botanicals, H24 is a sharp, aromatic fragrance reminiscent of green tea. Crisp, sporty, and fresh, H24 is ideal for the clean-cut guy who’s more Oxford shirt than flannel shirt.

Come spring and summertime, H24 is a staple in my scent rotation. If you want to give the impression you just stepped out of the shower, this is the one to reach for. Its mild projection may not have the power to hypnotize those in its wake, but that’s what makes it an ideal everyday warm weather scent.

Notes: Clary sage, narcissus, palisander, rosewood, sclarene | Size: 3.3oz | Type: Eau de Toilette | Season: Spring, summer

    Emporio Armani Stronger With You

If you’re aiming to seduce, you have to smell great. After all, scent is one of the first things a woman will notice about you.

But this isn’t just a sexy cologne for men. Stronger with You is designed to go hand in hand with its female flanker, Because Of You. The dynamic duo are intended for wear by romantic couples. Want to make your better half swoon? Treat yourself and your partner to these matching scents, and you’ll earn some brownie points. Better yet, your fragrances will intertwine rather than clash.

The men’s version is sweet, warm, and spicy with a hint of masculine freshness. Stronger with You has impressive longevity at 6+ hours. It’s a modern and sophisticated date night no-brainer. Thanks to its moderate sillage, which leaves an understated sexy scent in the air, it’s one of my favorite fall fragrances and go-to winter colognes.

Top Notes: Chestnut | Middle Notes: Sage, lavender | Base notes: Vanilla| Size:  3.4oz | Type: Eau de Toilette | Season: Winter, fall

What to Look for in the Sexiest Men’s Colognes

    Price

Master perfumer Roja Dove believes that men are motivated to find a high-quality fragrance, “pockets of creativity combined with quality are starting to lighten up the darkness of mediocrity as the quality of the perfume itself once again becomes of paramount importance.”

Sitting around the $200 price point, Roja Dove Elysium Pour Homme is reassuringly expensive, but with over 70% of Amazon reviews being 5 stars, the proof may be in the perfume.

At the other end of the scale, and one-sixth of the price, is Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct. This scent nips at the luxury brand’s heels with an impressive 66% of 5-star Amazon reviews, proving wallet size isn’t everything.

    Long-Lasting

Let’s talk stamina. How long a scent lingers on the skin after application matters. A mid or top-range cologne will have a higher oil concentration meaning it lasts longer than budget options. When I want a long-lasting cologne to go the distance, I reach for Jean Paul Gautier Ultra Male. This scent lasts 8-10 hours, making it one of the best colognes for men with bags of party-staying power.

Sometimes, though, I want a wash-and-go fragrance that’s less persistent. When I do, a mainstream cologne like A&F’s First Instinct brings it home at a reasonable 4-6 hours.

    Scent

When boosting your sex appeal with scent, a great place to start is to get some wood! Scents with woody notes are often perceived as masculine and mysterious. Woody colognes are powerful, potent, and seductive like Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur, whose fresh and spicy opening settles to a warm, resinous, and woody masterpiece.

Next up is sandalwood, a complex note that develops a sultry creaminess that hugs the skin. The sexiest men’s colognes that feature this note are Versace Eros Flame and Guerlain L’Homme Ideal.

    Final Verdict

Confidence is sexy as hell, and so is smelling great. Luckily, the two-go hand in hand. Spritz your skin with the sexiest men’s cologne, and you’ll elevate yourself from drab to desirable. Whether you opt for my go-to Montblanc Legend or couple up with another seductive scent on my list, you’ll reach a climax in your dating game.

    FAQ

      • Scent is subjective. Choosing the most seductive male cologne depends on personal preference. However, it’s a cast iron fact that certain fragrances can do wonders for your love life. When it comes to getting down and dirty, fresh roses or animalic, earthy leather scents, have the power to turn on the seduction switch, while vanilla is mood-enhancing. These scents are natural aphrodisiacs with a proven track record for increasing sexual desire. Guerlain L’Homme Ideal is one of the sexiest men’s colognes which checks all those testosterone boxes.

        • If you’re looking to drive the fairer sex crazy, you need a cologne that women love. Set the mood with an earthy or woodsy scent. These could include intense masculine notes like patchouli, cedarwood, and sandalwood, which warm the body and promote feelings of well-being. These heighten the desire for an intimate interlude or hot and steamy hook-up. “Many woodsy base notes, like patchouli, elicit the strongest aphrodisiac reactions because they can stimulate hormone receptors,” reveals Jane Hendler, natural perfumer and co-founder of Ajne.

Look & Feel Of The Black Label Trading Co. Lawless

    • Wrapper Hue: Ground Coffee
    • Rolling Consistency: Even
    • Spring: Firm
    • Aromas: Hay, Leather, Nutmeg

The Lawless cigar from Black Label Trading Co. showcases an Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper, a relatively rare tobacco variety.

The wrapper also has a beautiful ground coffee color, enhanced by a lovely sheen, and is marked by only a few prominent veins. The cigar’s body feels firm to the touch, boasting a beautifully even roll that speaks to its quality craftsmanship.Look & Feel of Lawless Cigar Wrapper Before Review

    BLTC Lawless Cigar Review

    Pre-Lighting Experience

    • Draw: Ideal
    • Aromas: Earth, Molasses, Rye

Before lighting up the Black Label Trading Co. Lawless, the cigar’s exterior offers a delightful aromatic mix.

Scents of hay, leather, and a hint of nutmeg waft up from the foot. On the cold draw, there’s a rich tapestry of earthy tones, sweetened by molasses and spiced with rye, creating an inviting preview of the smoking experience. The draw hits that sweet spot – exactly where I prefer it to be.

    1st Third Smoking Experience

    • Notes: Bitter Chocolate, Bananana, Rye

If you haven’t smoked a Black Label Trading Co. cigar, I’ll offer one small warning. They start with a BANG. The Lawless, in particular, starts with an explosion of bold flavors that immediately grab your attention.

Black Label Trading Co. Lawless Cigar Review –

Right upon lighting, it evokes the rich, comforting notes of chocolate banana bread. I usually link these bready-cereal flavors to Habano wrappers, and the Lawless features an intriguing habano-rosado hybrid. On the retrohale, there is yet another layer that is reminiscent of a light sprinkle of cayenne pepper.

To be honest, this cigar skirts the edge of being almost too intense for my taste, but luckily, it mellows a bit after the first third. If you find yourself handling a cigar that feels too strong, I recommend a couple of tactics. Slow down your smoking pace, and keep a sweet drink or snack within reach. This can help mitigate any effects of high nicotine, like jitters or nausea.

    2nd Third Smoking Experience

    • Notes: Rye, Hazelnut, Chocolate

Comparing the intensity levels, the first third of the Lawless was a solid 9 out of 10 on the strength scale, but the second third eases down to a more manageable 5 out of 10. Despite this decrease in strength, the cigar doesn’t lose any of its rich flavor.

The forefront of the palate is greeted with distinct notes of rye, hazelnut, and chocolate, while the retrohale adds a unique, savory mushroom quality.

Reviewing Black Label Trading Lawless Second Third

Here’s a handy tip for outdoor smokers: especially on chilly days: let your cigar sit outside for about an hour before lighting it. This allows the cigar to adjust to the outdoor temperature, preventing the wrapper from splitting as a result of the inner cigar expanding and the wrapper contracting due to the cold.

    Final Third Smoking Experience

    • Notes: Cinnamon, Wheat Toast, Leather

As the Lawless enters its final third, a delightful sweetness begins to emerge, intertwining beautifully with a distinct cinnamon flavor. This combination instantly brings to mind the spicy-sweet taste of Hot Tamale candy.

Smoking Final Third of Lawless Cigar by BLTC

Complementing this new sweetness are the familiar and comforting notes of wheat toast and leather. The retrohale rounds off this diverse flavor profile with a hint of floral honey, adding a delicate and aromatic finish to the smoking experience.

    Overall Burn

    • Ash Backbone: Solid
    • Burn Angle: Mostly Straight
    • Temperature: Cool
    • Draw: Ideal
    • Final Smoking Time: 60 Minutes

Throughout the session, the construction quality of the Oveja Negra Factory was able to shine through. The ash was solid and reliable, the burn angle remained largely straight.

BLTC Lawless Ash Backbone While Smoking

Additionally, the cigar remained a cool smoke, though my setting may have influenced this. And finally, the BLTC Lawless offered an excellent draw, even into the final third, when cigars tend to become more challenging to draw.

    Overall Experience

The Black Label Trading Co. Lawless cigar makes a bold statement with its band design, featuring a bovine skull encircled by a halo of barbed wire. This striking imagery may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but as someone who appreciates a touch of the macabre, I find it absolutely captivating. Particularly, the design detail that really stands out to me is the glossy finish on the skull, set against the matte background of the band.

Black Label Trading Co Lawless Cigar Review

Initially, I thought the band was simply black and white, but on closer inspection, the subtle metallic silver accents in the barbed wire and footband add an extra layer of sophistication.

The packaging follows suit with the same black, white, and silver color scheme, carrying the theme over beautifully. What’s more, each box is thoughtfully packed with a Boveda humidity pack, ensuring that the cigars maintain optimal humidity from the factory right to your humidor.

Pairing Recommendations Black Label Lawless Cigar

For a perfect setting to enjoy the Black Label Trading Co’s Lawless, I recommend a relaxed dinner environment.

When it comes to food pairings, this cigar seems like it would be a match made in heaven with some classic Texas barbecue. The peppery and smoky flavors of the barbecue would beautifully complement the subtle sweetness of the cigar.

Black Label Trading Lawless Paired with Rum

For a different twist, a dark bread could bring out the rye notes in the cigar. And if you’re in the mood for dessert, a rich and caramelized bananas foster would be an excellent choice to pair with it.

As for drinks, rum stands out as an ideal companion, particularly a Koloa rum from Hawaii – which, frankly, is where I’d rather be than in snowy Oregon. A red ale would also be a great choice, echoing the bready flavors of the habano wrapper. And for those with a sweet tooth, a cup of hot chocolate could be just the thing to highlight the sweeter notes of this blend.

    Closing Thoughts

Even on a cold, snowy day, the BLTC Lawless smoked great. The draw was spot-on, and the ash, a fine and pristine white, added to the aesthetic appeal.

Despite noticing some waviness in the burn line across my review samples, it managed to self-correct as the cigar progressed. I’m inclined to attribute this minor issue to the cold winter conditions.

Burn Angle Review of BLTC Lawless Cigar

In the Bespoke Unit Cigar Matrix, the Lawless earns a commendable score of 90. Considering its price point of about $9 per stick, it easily secures an A in the value-for-money category.

This blend is truly a roller coaster ride in terms of flavor and strength, making it a worthwhile addition to your humidor, especially if you’re up for a bold smoking experience.

6 Best Line Up Clippers For Men – Sharp Edges in 2024

Line up, shape up, edge up—no matter what you call it, you’ll need the best line up clippers to achieve the crispiest cut. As you might already know, this precise line doesn’t happen on its own. It takes a steady hand and one powerful tool to sharpen that hairline to perfection.

While separate line-up clippers aren’t a must, it’s crucial that the trimmer you do have can accomplish the task. Fortunately, all of the clippers I’ve highlighted below are capable of fulfilling all of your clipping and trimming needs.

Line up clippers aren’t just for your hairline. You can use them to edge your beard, trim your hair, and even buzz away those pesky nose hairs. These clippers are great for a variety of grooming tasks, and the best ones do it efficiently and quietly. Some even make it luxurious—looking at you, Bevel.

    Key Takeaways

The best clippers for line-ups should be lightweight, durable, and come with self-sharpening stainless steel blades – all factors that make the job easier. BabylissPRO Outlining Trimmer is my top pick because of its revolutionary high-torque, energy-efficient motor, gold knurled grip, and the best zero gap T-blades in the line up game.

An easy second runner up is Andis II Outliner because its simple with no attachments, corded for a constant charge, and highly precise.

    BabylissPRO Barberology GOLDFX Outlining Trimmer

Not a licensed barber? Doesn’t matter, these clippers will make you feel like one. Enter BabylissPRO, a powerful trimmer boasting a groundbreaking high-torque, Italian designed brushless motor (brushless = energy efficiency). It’s sexy, it’s fancy, and it T-lines to absolute perfection, making it not just a powerful tool but also the best detailer trimmer for those who appreciate precision.

In fact, thanks to 360 degree view exposed T-blades, it performs even better than Andis. If you’re familiar with Andis high level of precision, then you’ll understand that’s a pretty big feat.

That’s because you can adjust its zero gap length with the tools included for an extremely close shave—though I recommend being extra careful when doing so. There’s absolutely no need to finish up the job with a manual razor.

Blades aside, its overall performance deserves accolades. Because the body is cordless and lightweight, it’s easy to hold at any angle. If the knurled barbell grip looks serious, that’s because it is. You’ll love the way it feels in your hand: comfortable and secure. Plus, with all that torque, it stays cool and quiet. A pleasant hum you won’t be rushing to get rid of.

Sure, it’s double the price of most on this list, but considering all you’re getting, the precision it accomplishes, and the ease in which it trims, you truly cannot go wrong. I just wish the charging port was included and not a separate purchase.

Motor Power: Lithium ion | Material: Metal  | Battery Life: 2 hrs | Additional attachments: Zero gap

    Andis 04603 Professional Outliner II

If the BabylissPRO wasn’t such a beast, the Andis Outliner II would’ve made my top pick. Like the BabylissPRO, Andis II comes with a quiet, high-torque motor and accomplishes an incredibly precise trim job at a fraction of the price. At a mere 11 ounces, it happens to be lighter making achieving neat lines that much easier.

The Andis II is simple yet highly versatile. I can appreciate that the only attachment here is a heavy duty cord permanently fixed to the trimmer. When I mentioned that a pair of quality clippers can do it all, I was specifically thinking about this one.

The zero gapper makes it perfect for bald heads, fades, even intricate designs, and of course, a fresh cut. You can thank the torque and high-quality, self-sharpening stainless steel blades for that.

Light, compact, and precise—what more can you want from the best clippers for line ups?

Motor Power: Corded | Material: Stainless steel  | Battery Life: Not applicable | Additional attachments: none

    Bevel Pro + Pro T-Blade

Ah, the Bevel. It may be pricey, but there’s a reason it’s been dubbed “the one tool to rule them all.” Here is one seriously powerful all-in-one clipper with all the trendy, high-tech details. It might even cut closer than a straight razor.

First, I want to mention that what sets it apart from other clippers is security and efficiency. Wider T-blades mean a cleaner, closer, and quicker cut with increased control and safety. The graphite coating over stainless steel blades makes them a top choice for those with sensitive skin while also prolonging the life of the blades.

Now to the fun part: all the luxury details. You can go from eyebrow trimming to beard styling in a matter of seconds thanks to snap-lock modular attachments. It’s pretty cool that they’re secured by powerful pivot lock magnetic guards. And with a mere touch of the button, you can adjust the gap in tiny increments until it’s perfect for you. You’ll see it displayed in a neat little LED window.

But wait—don’t forget about the run time. One charge will give you 4 leisurely hours of consistent cordless power. Now that, my friends, is luxury.

Motor Power: | Material: Stainless steel  | Battery Life: 4 hrs | Additional attachments: Styling comb

    Wahl Stainless Steel Groomer 9818A

If you’re going to keep one tool in your bathroom, this should be it. Probably the best feature of the Wahl 9818A is the three interchangeable heads—a T-blade for line ups and trimming, a rotary trimmer for whirling away nose and ear hair, and a detail trimmer for details and clean up. Plus, 9 individual guide combs for cutting every hair length imaginable. Phew.

So this trimmer has a lot of pieces, but it does come with a case for storing it all pretty easily. As for the body of the clippers, it’s nice and sleek but doesn’t slip out of the hand.

For a cordless trimmer, it gets a lot of charge time at 3.5 hours, almost as much as Bevel. It even comes with a quick-charge option too. A 1 minute charge gets you 3 minutes of run time.

Motor Power: Lithium ion battery | Material: Stainless steel  | Battery Life: 3.5 hrs | Additional attachments: Precision detailer, ear/nose trimmer

    Andis 32400 Slimline T-blade Trimmer

When you’re constantly on the go, the last thing you need to stuff in your bag is a bulky trimmer. Fortunately, Andis makes one of the top choices that’s both slim and cordless—perfect for your toiletries kit. At a mere 4.95 ounces, it’s the tiniest on the list.

No need to be skeptical about its performance though. This is Andis, afterall. Even though the Slimline is small, these clippers have a great reputation. It’s well balanced and fits nicely in the hand, which is probably why it’s used by professionals. So you know it’s got to be good.

It might not have quite as many strokes per minute as the BabylissPRO or Andis II, but it comes close. I still say it’s one of the best line up clippers because it has a zero gapper and sharp, stainless steel self-sharpening blades for trimming your hair and lining up that beard in a flash.

Motor Power: Lithium ion battery | Material: Stainless steel  | Battery Life: 2 hrs | Additional attachments: 4 styling combs

    Wahl Professional 5-Star Detailer

If you’re new to trimming or second-guess your steady hand, you’ll appreciate Wahl 5-Star Detailer. Not only is it powerful and adjustable with zero overlap (also known as zero gap), it comes with three different extra wide trimming guides to help you control the length of the hair you’re cutting.

This is great for achieving that super crispy lines with confidence, regardless of hair texture. No cartridge razor clean up required.

What makes the 5-Star Detailer so great for everyday use is its lightweight, compact design. This makes lining and detailing a breeze. This electric trimmer is corded, but long—8 feet, to be exact. Plus, it’s chemical-resistant. This thing isn’t going anywhere.

Motor Power: Corded | Material: Stainless steel  | Battery Life: Not applicable | Additional attachments: T-blade trimming guides

What To Look For In The Best Line Up Clippers

    Power

Corded or cordless clippers really comes down to preference. Cordless bodies are easier for travel and easier to maneuver around the head, especially if you’re new to the clipper game. They don’t hold a charge for longer than a few hours at most, though. Corded bodies can be unwieldy, but should be fine once you get the hang of things. They also provide constant power.

    Additional Attachments

If clippers are doing their job right, you shouldn’t need much else besides a wide T-blade. However, I can appreciate attachments like guide combs, especially if you need more control and want to trim the hair on top of your head. Some of the best line up clippers will also come with blade oil—a must between trims.

    Material

Without a doubt, the best line up clippers should have stainless steel blades. Stainless steel is a durable, high-quality metal that will reduce beard snagging. Additionally, keep an eye out for words like ‘self-sharpening’ because this will keep the blades fresh and sharp each time you use them, without any work required on your end.

    Final Verdict

7 Best Bronze Watches for Men: Classiest Picks of 2024

Even among seasoned snazzy dressers, accessorizing is one of the hardest things for a guy to do. Luckily, you can get your hands on one of the best bronze watches to elevate your swag to the next level.

I tend to like my accessories with a bit of wear on them and nothing makes a bronze watch look better than a bit of patina. Add a fantastic outfit to the mix, and you have yourself a look that tells a story and gets people’s heads turning.

It might not seem like a big deal, but the kind of watch you wear says a lot about you. Whether you’re looking for something high-end or just a budget watch to get you through the day, I’ve got you covered.

Without any further ado, let’s strap in and dive into the fabulous world of the best men’s bronze watches.

    Key Takeaways

For this article, I’ve scoured the internet high and low to find the best bronze watches and these 7 won’t be going out of style anytime soon. When it comes to watches, it’s important to consider functionality, quality-of-build, and of course, cool factor.

For my money, the Christopher Ward C60 Pro 300 is the best bronze watch on the market right now because of its gorgeous design and quality-of-life features. As for something a bit more casual and affordable, you can always fall back on the MINILUIJA and its evergreen aesthetic.

Christopher Ward C60 Pro 300 Bronze

Why it’s great: The Christopher Ward C60 Pro 300 is about as bougie as bronze men’s watches get. From the beautiful twin-flag engraving to the lacquer finish, everything about this thing screams class and poise. The watch’s dial even adapts to the lighting conditions – no more taking out your phone to check the time in the dark.

How it feels: To absolutely no one’s surprise, few watches are as satisfying to wear as a Cristopher Ward. If you’re not a fan of textiles, you can always opt for the rubber one for added comfort or even go leather. Also, the case is sculpted in such a way that it won’t ever put pressure on your wrist.

Flaws but not deal-breakers: The C60 Pro 300 Bronze just came out in 2023, and you’d be hard-pressed to find any faults with it (slim pickings on criticism among watch lovers online, too). The worst part might just be having to wait for the patina to set in!

Case Size: 42mm | Movement: Automatic | Thickness: 11.5mm | Material: Bronze case, Tide Ocean textile/ brown oak leather/ rubber hybrid strap

    MINILUIJA Bronze Watch

Why it’s great: Would you believe that one of the best bronze watches of 2023 costs less than a restaurant meal? A watch can rarely fool me with its price, but the beautiful case and elegant leather strap exude a kind of swagger well above the MINILUIJA’s price range. On top of that, quartz watches are making a comeback, so you can expect a reliable watch with a good shelf life.

How it feels: Considering the price, you’re getting a pretty comfortable watch out of the deal. The leather is high-quality and feels nice on the wrist, and the case gives your hand plenty of room to breathe.

Flaws but not deal-breakers: The holes on the MINILUIJA are few and far between, so bigger guys may have a hard time getting it to stick.

Case Size: 38mm | Movement: Quartz | Thickness: 10mm | Material: Bronze case, leather strap

    Boderry Dive Watch

Why it’s great: Boddery is a serious heavyweight in the bronze men’s watch department, and the Dive Watch is up there as one of the best. All bronze watches look great when they oxidize, but tin bronze ages like a fine wine. You can get it in three gorgeous color palettes, although I think red really pops.

How it feels: Cow leather is a great material for watch straps because it’s extremely breathable, and this is no exception. Swimmers and divers needn’t worry – as the name suggests, the strap on the Dive Watch will be every bit as comfortable after a saltwater swim or three.

Flaws but not deal-breakers: One reviewer noted that this watch ran a little fast, so if precision is your game, you’ll want to spring for something a little more sophisticated.

Case Size: 40mm | Movement: Automatic | Thickness: 12.5mm | Material: Tin bronze case, leather strap

    Baltic Aquascaphe Bronze Edition

Why it’s great: I’m a huge fan of vintage watches, and the Baltic Aquascaphe is a personal favorite. This thing is the epitome of retro with its minimalist interface and elegant numbers, not to mention that timeless copper color. The double dome sapphire is a nice touch as it would take a fair bit of effort to dent or otherwise damage it. For all the swimmers out there, fear not, you can take this thing diving without having to worry about water damage.

How it feels: Tropic rubber straps are always a plus, so the Aquascaphe should feel nice and snug on most wrists. The hole positioning is also quite generous, making the watch easy to adjust if needed.

Flaws but not deal-breakers: The buckle can feel a bit constrictive on larger wrists. Still, it’s nothing that a pair of pliers and a steady hand can’t fix.

Case Size: 39mm | Movement: Automatic | Thickness: 13mm (11mm without glass) | Material: Bronze case, bronze buckle, rubber strap

    Longines Legend Bronze Diver

Why it’s great: This beauty is living proof that a watch is equal parts accessory and art piece. A modern spin on the classic 20th-century diver watch, the Longines Legend Diver boasts a gorgeous green dial, making its beautiful case stand out that much more. Needless to say, it can withstand incredible depths, and the 72-hour power reserve makes it extremely low-maintenance overall.

How it feels: With such a high-quality leather strap, you won’t have to worry about this watch hurting your wrist. Also, in case you’re allergic or sensitive to copper, the titanium caseback should keep your skin from making contact with the bronze.

Flaws but not deal-breakers: The lack of an external bezel might be a turn-off for some, but the watch’s presentation is so beautiful I could never hold it against it. Besides, the inner bezel more than makes up for it!

Case Size: 42mm | Movement: Automatic | Thickness: 22mm | Material: Bronze case, leather strap

    ADDIESDIVE Bronze Pilot Watch

Why it’s great: A good watch doesn’t have to be overpriced or in-your-face fancy. ADDIESDIVE’s Bronze Pilot Watch is dependable, fairly priced, and comes without unnecessary bells and whistles. It does have a cool party trick – it can glow in the dark, which gives it a cool cyberpunk look!

How it feels: Suede leather is my favorite material for watch straps, and it looks especially good on an honest-to-God, 100% bronze watch. The modestly sized case makes the watch super-compact and easy to tuck under your sleeve.

Flaws but not deal-breakers: This watch is a little plain-looking compared to some of our other picks as it’s more of a utility watch than a fashion statement.

Case Size: 39mm | Movement: Automatic | Thickness: 13.8mm  | Material: Bronze case, leather strap

    Bulova Men’s Precisionist Chronograph Watch

Why it’s great: No list of the best bronze watches for men would be complete without this beast. The Bulova Precisionist Chronograph Watch is exactly what it says on the box – it keeps time with exceptional precision thanks to its chronograph quartz movement, and it looks amazing while doing it.

How it feels: As amazing as the Bulova looks, it’s probably even better to wear. You hardly even feel any of its bulk, and I guarantee you won’t have a hard time getting it to fit no matter your wrist size.

Flaws but not deal-breakers: If you don’t have much experience with see-through hands, the interface takes some getting used to. Once you get the hang of it, though, you won’t want to take it off your wrist.

Case Size: 46mm | Movement: Chronograph quartz | Thickness: 17.5mm | Material: Stainless steel bronze case (ion plated), leather strap

Buying Considerations for the Best Bronze Watches

If you play your cards right, your watch could be your trusty pal for years or decades on end. To get the most out of your purchase, consider these factors before making your decision:

    Case size

The size of your case should generally depend on the size of your wrist. Most men’s wrist circumference falls somewhere north of 6.5 inches. For guys with small or medium-sized wrists, a watch with a 40mm case tends to be ideal. For the bigger guys out there, you can easily find watches with 46mm cases or above. Beyond style points, it’s also worth remembering that a larger case makes it easier to read the time.

Still, keep in mind there’s no clear-cut “rule” for how big your case should be. It’s possible to pull off a big watch on a small wrist, but it might not be a good look at the office or a formal dinner. Different watches work better for different occasions, so use your common sense and try not to overdo it.

    Material

The good thing about bronze men’s watches is that you can rock lots of different straps depending on your style. It’s hard to go wrong with a bit of brown leather to go along with that classic copper tint, and it’s pretty comfortable on the wrist too.

If you’re looking for something a bit more elegant, metal straps might be the best choice for you. I’d stay away from plain-looking nylon unless you wear your watch to the gym since it makes the bronze case stick out a little too much. Either way, comfort should probably be your number one priority when thinking about materials.

    Movement

Simply put, a watch’s movement is the mechanism it uses to keep time. The three kinds of watch movements are quartz, automatic, and mechanical. Quartz watches are the most straightforward since they’re battery-operated, so they need very little maintenance. The drawback with these is that you need to replace the battery every few years.

In theory, mechanical watches should last the longest since they don’t rely on an internal battery. Instead, you’ll have to wind up the individual cogs and pieces by hand to keep the watch alive for years on end. Automatic watches are similar, only they rely on a system of rotors that don’t require daily winding.

If you’re not fussy about the upkeep, you may want to pick based on how you want the hands to move. Quartz watches tick once per second (meaning sixty ticks a minute), while mechanical and automatic watch rotations are smoother.

    Why you should trust us

We at FashionBeans know a thing or two about all things man, and I happen to have a niche interest in the best men’s bronze watches myself. In putting together this list, I went over the biggest names in the wristwatch industry, and after thorough research, I managed to narrow it down to 7. I genuinely believe there’s a watch out there for everyone, and I’m confident these picks are the best of the best.

    Final Verdict

If it’s not clear by now, there are so many amazing men’s bronze watches out there that it’ll make your head spin. Sporting a timeless look and an ever-dependable build, the Christopher Ward C60 Pro 300 is the premier bronze watch to get in 2024.

If you’ve got some cash saved up and you’re not afraid to spend it, there’s always the Longines Legend Diver and its gorgeous fumé dial. For budget-wary shoppers, you can rely on the MINILUIJA to keep you looking classy at a reasonable price.

    FAQ

      • Bronze watches contain a lot of copper, which means they begin to oxidize over time. When that happens, the watch begins to lose its original color and turns gray or green. Every bronze watch oxidizes at different rates and spots, so two identical watches can look very different after a year or two. It’s possible to “de-age” bronze watches, but patina is what gives them their charm in the first place. Let nature take its course, and chances are you’ll love your watch even more.

  • 10 Best Skincare Products for Men For An Easy, Flawless Skin Care Routine in 2024

10 Best Skincare Products for Men For An Easy, Flawless Skin Care Routine in 2024

Let’s face it, most men like to keep their skincare routine nice and simple. That usually means face wash, moisturizer, and sunscreen. But that still might leave you with a lingering question: what are the best skincare products for men? There are so many products out there and it can be hard to sort through all of them.

Some of the best men’s skincare products claim to do it all but cost a fortune. Others are simple, but perhaps too simple—men have problem areas and skin issues they might want to fix, too. Fortunately, I’ve dedicated this space to the best in men’s skincare for every step of the routine. This way, you don’t have to sort through anything.

I’ve taken into consideration all of the different skin types out there, all of the active ingredients and what they do for the skin, and of course, each product’s value for the money. Some of us might not mind a little pampering here and there, but most of us appreciate the greatest bang for our buck, especially when it comes to skincare, something we use every single day.

All that being said, let’s take a peek at the 10 best skincare products for men below.

    Key Takeaways

For this quest, I began poring over hundreds of photos, customer reviews, and even my own bathroom cabinet (and my husband’s) until I whittled it down to the 10 finalists you see on this list. Overall, the best skincare product for men has to be a cleanser, and my favorite from La Roche-Posay. It contains essential skin barrier-strengthening ingredients, all while gently purifying and cleansing the skin. As for moisturizers, Brickell Men’s Element Defense Moisturizer uses natural ingredients to hydrate and soothe the skin while also protecting it from UVA and UVB rays with a zinc oxide SPF 45 formula.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Facial Cleanser

Why it’s great: If you’re going to do anything for your skin, you need to cleanse and moisturize (Yes, you should be moisturizing even—and especially—if you have oily skin). When it comes to washing your face, you really can’t go wrong with La Roche-Posay. Derms love it, and for good reason. It contains essential ceramides and niacinamide that strengthen the skin’s barrier, plus a prebiotic thermal water that is rich in selenium, a natural antioxidant. It’s fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, so it won’t cause irritation or clog pores.

How to use it: Apply to damp skin morning and night, massaging in gentle, circular motions. Rinse with water and pat dry with a fresh towel. Follow up with moisturizer.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: If you have dry skin, you might be better off with their hydrating cleanser.

Type of Formula: Cleanser | Usage: Massage across the face with water, both morning and evening |  Size: 13.52 oz | Skin type: Oily, combination, sensitive, normal

Vichy Purete Thermale One Step Facial Cleanser

Why it’s great: 3-in-1 cleansers are great for men looking to simplify their skincare routine. This cleanser from Vichy combines the power of hydrating cleansing milk, a toner, and make-up remover into one seriously gentle face wash. I love that it’s fragrance-free and designed for sensitive skin, and is very gentle and soothing for those with dry skin. And because it’s pH balanced, it’s not going to disrupt your skin’s sensitive barrier.

How to use it: Instead of removing make-up or sunscreen first, simply splash your face with water and gently rub it in for at least 60 seconds. Rinse with water, and pat your face dry with a clean towel. You might need to add a moisturizer afterward, depending on how your skin feels.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: Milk cleansers can be a godsend for those with dry, sensitive skin, but if your skin is oily, you might find this one to be too thick. If that’s the case, stick to a regular cleanser.

Type of Formula: Cleanser | Usage: Massage across the face with water morning and night |  Size: 16 oz. and 20 oz. | Skin type: Dry, combo, normal, sensitive

    CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser

Why it’s great: When it comes to cleansers, I recommend a product that is clean, non-comedogenic, and preferably fragrance-free, even if you have normal skin. CeraVe makes one heck of a cleanser thanks to its combination of hyaluronic acid and glycerin that attract and retain moisture, plus three essential ceramides that help skin retain its natural barrier. That means it’s not only effective at cleansing the skin but at hydrating and protecting it, too. And if you happen to have eczema, rest assured, it’s accepted by the NEA.

How to use it: Apply to damp skin morning and night using gentle, circular motions for at least one minute. If you have one, make sure to get it under your beard.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: Don’t expect a big lather with this one. It provides non-foaming hydration that might not be ideal for those with oily skin (see La Roche Posay above, if that’s the case).

Type of Formula: Cleanser | Usage: Massage across the face with water morning and evening |  Size: 16 oz. | Skin type: Normal-dry

    hims Vitamin C Serum

Why it’s great: You’ll want to find a serum that introduces ingredients that are different from your cleanser and moisturizer for additional benefits. If your cleanser doesn’t contain hyaluronic acid, then this affordable serum from The Ordinary is the bomb (plus it comes in a package with an AHA + BHA exfoliating solution—great for acne-prone skin). However, if your other skincare ingredients contain plenty of hydrating boosts, you might want a serum with vitamin C because it’s an antioxidant that provides the skin with a glowy, brightening effect. Vitamin C also helps to fade acne scars by evening out skin tone and soothing the irritation that comes with pimples or sensitive skin.

How to use it: Apply one or two pumps to all areas of the face after cleansing, either in the morning or at night.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: Avoid combining with acids, including AHAs and BHAs, as it can increase the potency of vitamin C, causing severe irritation.

Type of Formula: Serum | Usage: Apply 1-2 pumps once a day to cleansed skin|  Size: 1 oz. and 20 oz. | Skin type: all

    Marlowe Facial Moisturizer For Men

Why it’s great: You really can’t go wrong with using natural extracts to hydrate your face after cleansing. Marlowe face moisturizer is packed with goodness. I love that it’s formulated with aloe vera, which is highly nourishing, soothing for red, irritated skin, and naturally anti-bacterial. This light water-based formula won’t clog pores or weigh your skin down. I think you’ll appreciate that it’s naturally scented for a subtle, manly smell made from ingredients like citrus, aloe leaf, and musk.

How to use it: The texture is nice and light yet immensely hydrating. Perfect for oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin. Just what you need in the summer months.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: As much as I love the light, water-based formula, it might be too light for dry skin, especially in wintertime. Consider Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream if you need an extra boost of hydration. Just make sure you get a moisturizer specifically for the face, don’t let the hand cream pull double duty.

Type of Formula: Moisturizer | Usage: Apply to clean, damp, or dry skin morning and evening |  Size: 6 oz. | Skin type: all

EltaMD UV Clear Daily Face Sunscreen

Why it’s great: Whether you have acne-prone skin or not, EltaMD makes one of the best skincare products for men. Daily sunscreen is a must, and this one comes with a high SPF of 46. It’s great for sensitive skin, but I feel it works on everyone. It provides both UVA and UVB protection and doesn’t leave that icky white cast like most other zinc oxide formulas. If there is one sunscreen every dermatologist I’ve ever consulted with loves, it’s this one.

How to use it: Apply to clean, moisturized skin every day, not just twenty minutes before you leave the house. Yes, you can get sun exposure indoors!

Flaws but not dealbreakers: For the price, you’re not getting a ton of product here, but mineral sunscreens are better for sensitive skin and create a physical barrier between your skin and the sun, unlike chemical sunscreens.

Type of Formula: Sunscreen | Usage: Apply to clean, moisturized, skin every day |  Size: 1.7 oz. | Skin type: all

    Wolf Project Under Eye Roller

Why it’s great: You might be thinking: if I’m putting moisturizer on my face, can’t I add it to my eyes as well? The short answer is no because the skin around the eye is thinner and more easily prone to aging. That’s why I happen to love a serum around the eyes. This one is great because it contains caffeine for de-puffing, vitamin C for brightening dark circles, and peptides for lots of hydrating plumpness. I have a feeling you’ll love the cool feel of the roller ball.

Hot Tip: Leave it in the fridge for an even deeper de-puffing effect.

How to use it: In the morning, once you’ve washed your face, roll underneath your eyes. Applying eye cream should always come before moisturizing.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: For those with sensitive skin, be careful not to apply any other products to the under eye when using because it can irritate the skin.

Type of Formula: Cleanser | Usage: Massage across the face with water morning and night |  Size: 0.5 oz. | Skin type: all

    Brickell Men’s Element Defense Moisturizer

Why it’s great: Why not make things easy and combine your SPF with your moisturizer? I love this one from Brickell because it comes in zinc form with a high SPF count of 45. If you’re getting a lot of sun exposure each day, aim for an SPF of at least 30. As a moisturizer, it provides all the necessary elements like sunflower oil, which soothes and strengthens the skin. Plus, it also contains green tea, which is a natural antioxidant, and vitamin E, for fighting free radicals.

How to use it: Once your skin is cleansed and dry, apply generously over the entire face.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: Thick texture doesn’t smooth over too well on darker skin tones. Consider Paula’s Choice Skin Restoring Moisturizer with SPF 50.

Type of Formula: SPF Moisturizer | Usage: Apply to clean, dry skin every morning |  Size: 8 oz. | Skin type: all

    Differin Gel

What is Retinol?: Because of its strength, it’s worth noting what exactly it is and what it does to the skin. Retinol is a form of vitamin A used to treat acne and signs of aging. It does this by rapidly increasing skin cell turnover, helping to unclog pores, exfoliate the skin, and increase collagen production. The strongest forms require a prescription, but many OTC products include small amounts of retinol.

Why it’s great: Adapalene is a type of retinoid similar to retinol in that it unclogs pores and increases cell turnover. It’s also the main ingredient in Differin gel, the only FDA-approved adapalene for treating acne. As someone who has struggled with acne off and on for years, I love this stuff. It’s gentle and didn’t make my skin a wreck during ‘purging’ like tretinoin did.

How to use it: Apply to cleansed, dry skin once a day. Start small, using a tiny-pea-sized drop gently rubbed all over the face, especially paying attention to problem areas. If you find it to be too irritating initially, apply a moisturizer first, then apply Differin afterward.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: Retinoids can be extremely drying, so if you already have dry skin, use them with caution. Start by applying a small, pea-size amount once or twice a week and increase with time according to how your skin adjusts.

Type of Formula: Retinoid | Usage: Apply a pea-sized amount to cleansed skin at night |  Size: 0.5 oz. and 1.6 oz. | Skin type: all

New York Biology Dead Sea Mud Mask

Why it’s great: Few other ingredients draw out gunk from the pores quite like mineral-rich mud. It has an exceptional detoxifying effect on the skin. I love this mask over straight bentonite clay because the mineral-infused formula contains jojoba oil and vitamin E which are gentle and nourishing for the skin. When applying this mask once a week, or twice for oilier skin types, it will visibility tighten and soothe the skin and treat acne and blackheads by cleaning out pores and making them appear smaller.

How to use it: Apply in a thin layer to clean skin. Leave on for 10 minutes and remove using warm water or a warm, wet face cloth.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: This mask (and most clay masks in general) can be drying. Be sure to follow up with a moisturizer.

Type of Formula: Mask | Usage: Apply once or twice a week to clean skin |  Size: 8.8 oz | Skin type: All

    Skin Type

    Normal

You have normal skin if it doesn’t appear too shiny at any point in the day on any portion of your face. You rarely, if ever, react adversely to skin products, you don’t have problem areas, and your skin typically feels hydrated and comfortable. When it comes to products, you generally have free reign, though you’ll still want to steer clear of comedogenic formulations.

    Dry

Those with dry skin likely experience a tight feeling on the face, especially after cleansing. Your skin is often flaky, and may even feel slightly rough to the touch. This means it’s not retaining enough moisture. Look for hydrating ingredients in your products. You can utilize an oil or milk cleanser, a thicker cream-like moisturizer, and serums that add an extra boost of barrier protection and hydration, like niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.

    Oily

Oily skin is categorized by excess sebum production that leaves a greasy shine on the face, especially in the T-zone. All of that extra oil is often accompanied by acne. When the skin is oily, it is easier for dirt and pollutants to get trapped in the pores, causing breakouts and inflammation. You’ll want light, acne-fighting ingredients like benzoyl peroxide BHAs and AHAs in your products, and you may benefit from retinol in your regimen. Don’t forget to moisturize, however.

    Combination

You likely have combination skin if some parts of your face are oily, like your T-zone, while others are dry, like your cheeks. Having combination skin can make finding the right products somewhat difficult because you typically need different ingredients for oily skin vs. dry skin. You’ll likely want to use a cleanser for normal skin but perhaps pick up a purifying toner to run along your T-zone. Fortunately, beauty stores like Sephora have an entire section of their website devoted to combination-friendly products.

    Sensitive

Sensitive skin is sort of a catch-all term for those with either dry, problem skin that is prone to irritation, be it from the environment or products, or oily skin that is likely due to a gut or hormonal imbalance. Sensitive skin shouldn’t use too many active ingredients in one go to avoid unnecessary irritation. You’ll want to avoid harsh chemicals and long lists of ingredients. Stick to natural ingredients and those you know you’re not allergic to/irritated by.

Buying Considerations for the Best Skincare Products For Men

    Type of product

Not all of the best men’s skincare products are the same. Some are meant for cleansing, others for adding in special ingredients, or moisturizing. Products that do it all can be extremely helpful, like a 3-in-1 cleanser or a moisturizer with SPF already in it. These can be cost-effective and cut down on clutter in your bathroom. Ultimately, all most men need is a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. A good skin-boosting mask on occasion doesn’t hurt, either.

    Skin type

Your skin type is probably the most important factor to consider when searching for the best skin care products for men. Whether your skin is normal, oily, dry, or a combination, you’ll want to shop accordingly to treat the natural condition of your skin while avoiding causing other problems. Fortunately, every skin care product is labeled with the skin type that it works best for.

    Value

This might not seem like an issue, but if you’re searching for the best skincare products for men on a budget, size, and cost matter. Some products might be great, but rest assured, there are cheaper ones that pack a similar punch. Pay attention to the amount of ounces you’re getting for the price. If it seems too high, consider searching for other products with the same ingredients. Fortunately, every item on this list was considered according to its value.

    Final Verdict

The best skincare products for men should be effective, affordable, and work for most skin types. Ultimately, the best skincare product for men is La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Facial Cleanser because it’s gentle for sensitive skin, provides the skin with natural antioxidants, and strengthens the skin’s barrier, all while effectively removing dirt, oil, and other impurities without stripping the skin.

    FAQ

      • Unless you suffer from skin problems like acne, all most men need is a good cleanser, moisturizer, and daily sunscreen.

7 Best High Top Sneakers for Men for Stylish Support in 2024

I get a little giddy when function and fashion collide. Nowhere is that more obvious than with the best high top sneakers for men. Thanks to urban streetwear, high tops are perpetually trendy, but each fashionable pair is not without its sneaky support for the foot and ankle.

Additionally, high tops are adored by guys because they’re versatile. Snag a suede pair and throw them on with crisp, tailored trousers, or freshen up a suit with comfortable, fly leather sneaks. Because they cover the ankle, they’re suitable in spring and winter. And because it’s a sneaker first and foremost, they always look great in a pair of shorts.

You can work in a high top sneaker, you can ball in a high top sneaker, and you can even stand around looking effortlessly cool in the best high top sneakers money can buy. I’ve made sure to highlight the cream of the crop, from price to brand and of course, wearability.

Let’s take a peek at the 7 best high top sneakers for men below.

    Key Takeaways

For this quest I began poring over hundreds of photos, customer reviews, and even my own closet until I whittled it down to the 7 finalists you see on this list. Overall, the best high top sneakers for men are Cariuma OCA High Top because they’re solidly built by hand, excellently priced, and built for durability and sport. For an urban, basketball-style shoe from a major name brand, look no further than Adidas Men’s Post Move Mid Basketball Shoe.

Cariuma OCA High Top in Brown Suede

Why it’s Great: Cariuma will always make my best sneaker list. That’s because it’s a skate brand first with a focus on comfort and durability. But the OCA high top is downright fashionable and they’re a bestseller for a reason. Each pair is handmade with a fully stitched outsole and boasts 100% slip-resistant rubber—some seriously fancy details for such a great price. There’s even a handy pull tab at the back. You can pair these versatile suede and cotton canvas sneakers with shorts or dress them up with a pair of trousers.

How they feel: Because they’re designed for movement, lightweight cushioning technology with bio-based cork insoles helps it feel light and dreamy on the foot.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: I can absolutely appreciate the array of neutral colors, but if you’re looking for a fun fashion moment, try elsewhere.

Sizes Available: 5-13 | Material: Suede, cotton canvas, rubber | Colors Available: 6

    Velasca Ghisa

Why it’s Great: Here’s the sophisticated high-top sneaker you can wear with a suit. Crafted with simple, elegant lines, it’s the perfect shoe for shorts in spring when you don’t want your ankles out or paired with a wool sock in winter for tons of warmth. The smooth full-grain calfskin leather with its natural breathability is straight-up luxurious, especially when you consider that each pair is made by hand. Expect these to last a lifetime.

How they feel: Prepare to walk for miles in these shoes. The 100% rubber sole is highly durable in a box bottom fashion, meaning it increases toughness and durability.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: The high price might be a deterrent for some, but they do happen to make the perfect gift.

Sizes Available: 5-13  | Material: 100% calfskin leather, rubber | Colors Available: 5

Clae Gibson in Black Suede Gum

Why it’s Great: A bit of a sneaker boot, the Gibson offers the best of both worlds. Like a boot, it has gorgeous stitching with a Derby sole and upper, but similar to a sneaker, it has gummy rubber soles with a supportive EVA insole. It’s got a premium leather and polyester lining for warmth, protection, and stability. I like that it’s good for the minimalist who doesn’t want too many bells and whistles on their shoes. A premium staple that is built to last.

How they feel: These feel elegant and sturdy. Because suede also feels elevated, it’s easy to dress this pair up with tailored trousers.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: As much as I love attractive suede construction, this shoe does feel confined to the cooler months.

Sizes Available: 7-13 | Material: Suede, rubber | Colors Available: 2

Oliver Cabell Jabbar High in Exotic

Why it’s Great: A fun, fashion-forward pair intended to simulate natural wear, this Oliver Cabell high-top sneaker feels trendy and fresh. Hand-stitched so no two pairs are the same, you can choose from a variety of color combos from neutral to colorful, like this Exotic option. It’s hard not to fall for the buttery calfskin leather sourced and made in Italy—transparently, of course. Each aspect of the shoe, including the durable, lightweight rubber outsole, is priced out and listed on the site, so you can feel good about your purchase.

How they feel: The molded insole provides loads of alleviating comfort, but it is removable, in case you need to add your own.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: This may not be the best option if you need a sleek, dressier pair of high-top sneakers.

    Sizes Available: 6-15  | Material: 100% calfskin leather | Colors Available: 8

Adidas Men's Postmove Mid Basketball Shoes

Why it’s Great: Because the original high-top sneaker was made by Converse for basketball players, I had to include a solid basketball shoe that no man can resist. Like Converse, Adidas is straight-up iconic, and this shoe feels like a classic that is always ‘cool.’ With a padded ankle collar for stability and an adjustable hook and loop top strap for support, it functions for sport and fashion alike.

How they feel: You’re simply going to love the Cloudfoam super midsole that offers the utmost comfort and cushioning.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: Unfortunately, this pair is made from faux leather. Regardless, reviewers note that it is still very durable.

    Sizes Available: 6.5-14  | Material: 100% synthetic leather | Colors Available: 12

    Reebok Men's Royal Bb4500 Hi2 Sneaker

Why it’s Great: Every guy needs a fresh white sneaker in his closet. This pair is just as solid and long-lasting as one from Nike, but delivered at a fraction of the price. Plus, it has all of the right design details without feeling bulky, like an Air Force One, for instance. It comes with the proper sports elements, including a high-abrasion rubber outsole with plenty of responsiveness and a supple synthetic leather upper with mesh that offers support and breathability.

How they feel: I love this mid-cut design because it looks cool but also lends support and stability to the ankle. And even though these shoes come comfortable, there is a cushiony removable EVA sock liner that accommodates orthotics.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: Some reviewers have noted they aren’t the most comfortable if you plan on doing extensive walking.

    Sizes Available: 6.5-15  | Material: 100% synthetic leather | Colors Available: 11

    Converse All Star All Terrain

Why it’s Great: You already know about the classic Chuck Taylor, so I had to include a new, more versatile high-top sneaker that is actually great for the colder months. If you’re like me, you’ve been freezing in Converse before, but the All Terrain shoe is pretty beefed up. It has a sporty, chunky sole for a modern feel, plus hike-inspired details like a heel pull and traction outsoles to bring out your inner urban warrior. Weather-resistant materials are the icing on the cake, thanks to non-wicking canvas, waterproof leather, and a quilted tongue for added comfort and warmth.

How they feel: This sneaker is more comfortable than your basic Converse, too. It has Ortholie cushioning for all-day comfort, whether you’re walking or standing.

Flaws but not dealbreakers: As much as I love this shoe, it’s not that easy to dress up. Definitely a casual, everyday type of sneaker.

Buying Considerations for the Best High-Top Sneakers For Men

    Stability

Mid-cut designs might look trendy and cool, but they come with some seriously good support because they bolster the ankle. That’s because high-top designs were originally made for basketball players who need that extra stability. Look out for words like padded tongue or extra cushioning that signify support. An adjustable hook and loop strap is common on straight sport varieties like the one from Adidas, but other brands have signature elements, too.

    Material

This is almost directly related to price. Many of the more affordable best high-top sneakers are made from synthetic leather, which is fine, but that will determine the longevity of the shoes. Real leather can last for decades, especially when accompanied by solid construction. Real suede hangs in there for a long time, too, when properly cared for, and canvas is easy because it’s durable and you can throw them in the wash.

As for the soles, rubber is always the way to go. It is naturally slip-resistant and springy on the foot.

    Color

This area is entirely up to you. I will say, neutrals are typically the easiest to pair back to the majority of one’s wardrobe. However, even amongst neutrals, decisions remain. Brown? Gray? Black? And everyone needs a white pair. When shopping for a new staple, I always run through my current wardrobe to determine how many items a new piece will pair with. Of course, you can do this with a pop of color shoe, too. They might surprise you and end up being the fashion piece you turn to the most.

The best high-top sneakers for men should be comfortable, durable, and add support and stability to the ankle region, thanks to the mid-cut design. The best pair is the Cariuma OCA High Top because it’s versatile, well-priced, and built for sport, meaning it’s highly durable with lightweight comfort.

  • 6 Best Jeans For Men With No Butt – Top Fitting Pairs In 2024 – Copy

6 Best Jeans For Men With No Butt – Top Fitting Pairs In 2024 – Copy

Not everyone has been blessed with a sumptuous derriere or has the time and energy it takes to build one in the gym. Sometimes you need the best jeans for men with no butt to give the impression you’ve got it going on back there. I can’t promise to change your butt, but with the right jeans, I can guarantee it’s going to look fuller and more plump.

You might notice that your butt looks flat and your hips appear straight whenever you tug on your jeans. When searching for a great pair of jeans for men with no butt, you’ll need a nice, slim fit, and pockets that sit high on the seat in a proportional fashion. Avoid baggy denim that looks like you’re swimming in it. It’s all about creating the illusion that your butt fills out the jeans nicely.

If that information has left you second-guessing the jeans you like or already have, you’d better take a peek at the pairs I’ve highlighted below. From fit to pockets to the weight of the denim and ease of stretch, each pair has been hand-selected for the plumped-up appeal.

    Key Takeaways

The Closed Unity Slim Denim Jeans are highly recommended for men with less pronounced buttocks, thanks to their variety of washes and classic fit that offers everyday appeal. The strategically sized and placed pockets enhance the backside. For a super affordable jean with an emphasizing pocket detail, look no further than Wrangler Slim Fit Straight Leg Jean.

    Unity Slim Denim

A heavier good-quality denim is the way to go when you’re looking to add some padding. Unity makes their slim pair with strong, compact denim that feels weighty so it sits on the hips and hugs the body just right. But if that has you thinking it’s stiff, have no fear. They’re perfectly lightly elastic.

That’s what you get when you invest in quality. Unity makes their denim in Italy, and has worked together with their factories for decades to produce durable, innovative, and sustainable denim.

As for that backside, the pockets are small, if not proportionate, and set far enough apart to give the impression that you’ve got more going on back there than you really do.

    Material: 98% cotton, 2% elastane |  Colors: 16 | Sizes: 27-38 waist | Style: Slim tapered

    Luca Faloni Dark Blue Jeans

If you need to appear more polished, a crisp, tailored pair of jeans will do the trick. I love a tapered jean for that, because it’s nice and narrow at the ankle, which is perfect for drawing your eye upwards and making your butt appear fuller. Selvedge denim is also a good choice, because it’s nice and sleek.

Once your eye lands on that behind, you’ll notice the smaller, slightly angled pockets set proportionally on the seat for a nice framing effect. A mid-rise helps, too, as it covers more of your backside and lengthens the appearance of your legs.

Plus, Luca Faloni uses a premium mid-weight denim so that it doesn’t bunch around the hips and has a nice, natural stretch. These jeans are clean and smooth, and easy to elevate with a pair of dress shoes and a blazer.

Hot tip: Avoid ripped jeans when going for a pulled together vibe.

    Material: 100% cotton |  Colors: 2 | Sizes: 28-40 | Style: Tapered

Wrangler Authentics Men’s Slim Fit Straight Leg Jean

These Wrangler jeans are almost too good to be true. They’re super cheap, fit great, and come in a nice variety of washes for filling out your whole wardrobe.

The pockets aren’t too large, and they have a diagonal line design on them that accentuates your hips and cuts the surface area of the pocket to make your butt look bigger. It’s almost like a nice little shelf that makes it seem like your butt is filling out a smaller space.

They fit nice and slim through the seat and thigh, which is what you want when you’re trying to accentuate your bum. And I think lots of guys can appreciate a straight leg, which is easy for throwing on every day. Looks just as great with sneakers as they do with dress shoes or boots.

    Material: 98% cotton, 2% spandex |  Colors: 11 | Sizes: 29-42 waist | Style: Slim straight

7 For All Mankind Slimmy Fit Jean

While I can appreciate the pocket detail on Wrangler Slim Fit Jeans, a clean design can also have an enhancing effect. These pockets are comfy and small, which is perfect for a tiny, flat butt. And they hug the butt just right, giving you an overall great fit through the hips and seat.

Alternatively, you’ll notice that some of the colors have the iconic 7 For All Mankind squiggle across the pocket, which can also make the butt appear larger. This squiggle is what made the brand so popular in the first place.

They might be on the pricey side, but they’re known for their excellent fit and overall attention to detail, which makes them some of the best jeans for men in general.

Like the best of them, these Slimmy jeans have a slim, straight leg that’s tapered ever so slightly at the ankle for nice and easy everyday appeal. An easy, high-quality choice.

    Material: 92% cotton, 6% polyester, 2% spandex |  Colors: 9 | Sizes: 28-42 waist | Style: Straight

    Bonobos Premium 4-Way Stretch Jean

Pocket placement is so important when it comes to faking a better butt. I love the way these pockets are set far apart, and seem to wrap around the hips. This makes your butt look nice and pumped up—just how you want it.

The 4-Way Stretch Jean is known for having a great fit. Fit is everything when it comes to jeans for men with no butt. It’s all about hugging those hips, and this pair does it nicely.

They’re soft on the skin, yet feel sturdy and resilient, with just the right amount of stretch for moving about your day. I have a feeling you’ll want to live in these.

While I do wish they came in more washes so it was easier to fill out your wardrobe, I can appreciate the option to choose from either a slim taper, slim, or a straight cut style.

Material: 92% Cotton, 4% Elastomultiester, 4% Elastane |  Colors: 4 | Sizes: 28-40 waist | Style: Slim taper, Slim, Straight

    Paige Normandie

When it comes to the best jeans for men with no butt, Paige’s Normandie jean ticks all the right boxes. Here is an easy to wear, everyday jean in their classic straight fit that frames your bum to make it look bigger than it really is.

There are plenty of brands that do a decent job at plumping up a flat butt, but few do so to the same level as Paige. They’re known for amazing quality and durability because they use good technical fabric and pay lots of attention to fit.

That being said, I chose the Normandie, which is their straight leg jean, because they have premium stretch and recovery. This means they’re slightly roomy so that they move with you, but won’t get baggy throughout the day.

When it comes to that backside, you’ll love the shorter, wider back pockets set proportionally in the seat of the jeans. This helps to frame your butt and makes it appear larger.

They have plenty of colors and washes to choose from, including black and white, which is helpful, because I think you’ll fall in love with this jean. Why not go ahead and get a bunch of colors?

    Material:  54% Rayon, 23% Cotton, 22% Polyester, 1% Spandex |  Colors: 19 | Sizes: 28-40 | Style: Straight

What To Look For In The Best Jeans For Men With No Butt

    Denim Weight

Believe it or not, the weight of the denim influences the appearance of your bum in jeans. Lightweight denim with too much stretch will bunch easily, drowning your small bum in too much fabric. On the other hand, thicker, weightier denim will drape better, round out your hips, and add a bit of bulk to your bum. Think Japanese denim or even flannel lined jeans if it suits the season.

    Pockets

Pockets and their placements matter greatly when it comes to the best jeans for men with no butt, especially if you’re looking to accentuate that area. Proportional pockets are great, but those that are smaller, and sit higher, preferably at an angle, will make your butt look larger and more filled out. Pockets that wrap slightly around the hips and are set farther apart will also make your backside pop.

    Fit

The best way to add some definition to your behind is to pick up a pair of slim fit jeans. Baggy jeans make your butt look flatter and smaller. Alternatively, super skinny jeans may make your butt look bigger because they’re snug, but they’ll only emphasize your bony points everywhere else. When jeans are slim, they sit nicely on the hips so that they frame your butt for the right amount of emphasis.

    Style

Your best bet when searching for a better pair of jeans is either a straight leg for balance, or a tapered leg for creating a long, lean line. Tapered jeans narrow at the ankle and draw the eye to your bum. I’d avoid dad jeans, unfortunately, because they tend to be too roomy for hugging any curves.

    Final Verdict

The best men’s jeans for flat buttocks have a slim fit through the seat and thigh, and small, proportionally placed pockets, just like Closed Unity Slim Denim Jeans. They come in lots of colors, too, and are crafted from good-quality, premium denim with a nice amount of weight for accentuating the hips.

    FAQ

      • Slim, straight-leg jeans with a tapered leg look best on a flat butt because they hug your hips, and give you a more filled-out appearance. Keep in mind, dark washes are slimming and light washes emphasize volume.

        • To find the best jeans for men with no butt, search for a mid to heavy weight denim and smaller, higher set pockets with a slim fit around the seat and hips.
